LARGE HOUSE BURNT.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Saturday. An eleven-roomed house on the Sheridan Estate was destroyed by fire this morning. The premises had been tenanted by the late Mr. P. H. Harper, S.M., and unoccupied since his departure for Christchurch. The building was insured for £600. Mr. Harper's furniture and contents, including war souvenirs and Maori curios, was insured for £550.
