Devereux, representative of the Australian Wool Council, reports:— Signs of returning confidence are reflected in the higher prices at most centres since the opening of the London sales. Merinos and fine croesbredfi have full maintained the initial advance with a slightly hardening tendency. A fair amount of new business is offering, with some transactions at full market rates. Medium and low crossbred tops are slightly against the buyers. There is some inquiry on Continental account. Merino and crossbred yarn pliers have slip'itiy improved. The position on the Continent is unchanged. In Continental futures the markets are quiet ajadjslightly dearer,
