CHICAGO'S BOMBS.
MAY DAY CELEBRATIONS. NEW YORK, May 2. Communists and other Radicals throughout the United States celebrated May Day in the traditional manner with parades, mass meetings, and oratory. For the most part the demonstrations were unusually free from violence. The day was greeted in Chicago, however, t)y a series of five bombings in the down-town section. These caused damage estimated at 150,000 dollars, mainly broken windows. There were no casualties.
