ENGLISHMEN IN NEW ZEALAND.
Your correspondent "Xew Zealand Born" quotes Father Martindale. This learned gentleman's first-hand knowledge mu6t be extremely limited, and one wonders whether it was sufficient upon which to base a reasonable opinion? Because, if I remember rightly, a great deal of the time he was here unfortunately was as a result of an accident spent in a sick room as a jruest of the late Dr. Cleary. With yovr permission, I would advise "Xew Zealand Born" to read the review of "The Risen Sun" that appeared in the world's foremost literary paper "The Times" Literary Supplement. „'. , READER.
