BETTER PROSPECTS.
NEXT LONDON WOOL SALES. THE BANK'S FORECAST. The Bank of !STew Zealand has received the following advice from its London office tinder date April 28, 1933: — "Prospects for the third series of 6ales, commencing on May 9, are generally favourable. Prices for Merinos are expected to advance 5 per cent, and the market for greasy crossbreds is expected to be firmer, with prices in sellers' favour." SALES IN SYDNEY. SYDNEY, May 2. At the Sydney wool sales to-day 0930 bales were offered and G3OB were sold. Also 390 bales were sold privately. There was brisk competition and prices worn very firm at the recently-improved levete. Greasy Merino sold at 13% d. Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents:—Butter: 74/. Cheese: White, 42/; coloured, 47/. Both markets firm. Good demand. BRADFORD FIRM. LONDON, May 1. Bradford market is firm with fair business, especially for finer sorts.
