LEAGUE FOOTBALL.

JUNIOR MANAGEMENT. The junior grades of the Auckland Rugby League will commence the season on Saturday. The committee met last evening, and will finalise arrangements on Friday evening. Team nominations show an increase on last year. The New Lynn Club was granted permission to adopt royal blue as the colour of their jerseys for the coming season. An application for the regrading of J. Davidson from senior to junior was referred to the Board of Control. I It was also decided to 'formally recomI mend the application of the Manukau, Papakura and Glen Ora Clubs for financial consideration. The transfers were granted of third grade players A. H. Weaver, Marists to Manukau; C. S. Powcll and R. I. Hobbs. 'Marists to Richmond, and A. L. Purcell and L. Williams, Marists sixths to Northcote fourths and fifths respectively. A number of regrades also were granted. Registrations approved were:—C. W. Bridgen, A. J. O'Shannassey and A. H. Appleton (ex-Papakura), C. R. Bailey (Akarana). J. M. McNeil (Point Chevalier) and B. Beehre (City) to» Marist Old Boys. In forwarding a block of seven applications for transfers of fourth and fifth grade Newton players to Manukau, the Newton Club pointed out that its nominations of two fourth grade teams was made with a knowledge that sufficient players were available. The committee sympathised with Newton in the matter, and decided that action in regard to transfers was in the club's hands.
