SERIOUS CHARGE.
MAN AND WOMAN ARRESTED. ALLEGED USE OP INSTRUMENT. Robert William Campbell and Mary Campbell, aged 39, both of whom were arrested by Detective-Sergeant P. Doyle, appeared in the Police Court this morning, before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., each charged with unlawfully using an instrument upon a young woman on April 16. Mr. R, A. Singer appeared for both accused. On the application of Detective-Ser-geant McHugh botJi were remanded, by consent, to appear on May 15. The woman was allowed bail in the sum of £500. Decision on the question of bail for the male accused was deferred.
