"CINDERELLA" PANTOMIME

, • Mr Frank Neil's Drury Lane production of the pantomime, "Cinderella, which is to be staged at His Majesty s Theatre on Saturday next, attracted record audiences in Sydney and Melbourne for over six months. It has been played in almost every important town and city in Australia. The fairy coach is identical with the one made for the original Melbourne pantomime over 30 years ago, when the late Nellie Stewart appeared as Cinderella. This coach was subsequently used in the Drury Lane production, when Nellie Stewart played the title role there and the same coach was included with the material purchased by Mr. .Neil from the Drury Lane management, lor the revival of Cinderella last year in Sydney Miss Josie Melville portrayed the part of Cinderella, and she has been engaged by . Mr. Neil for the Auckland production. Mr. George Wallace, in the character of the traditional "Buttons," should be at his best. Mr. Sidney Beck, who is to play the Dame, has toured New Zealand previously Among the scenic effects presented in "Cinderella" are "Autumn Ballet/' "Underneath the Sea, March of the Toy Soldiers," "Butterfly and Rose Ballet," "The.Royal Ballroom" and "The Demon King's Lair."
