Two American Sailors Injured
In 'Plane Crash.
MISHAP AT SYDNEY,
SYDNEY, April 28.
An aeroplane piloted by Mr. James Wear, a prominent airman, crashed when landing near Mascot Aerodrome this afternoon. Mr. Wear suffered a broken collarbone.
Mr. Joseph Cangarri, aged 20, broke his right leg and arm and suffered abrasions on the nose. Mr. Otto Heyer, aged 19, had his right thigh broken and suffered abrasions and shock.
Messrs. Cangarri and Heyer are seamen on the Mariposa. They were returning from a flight over the harbour bridge when the mishap occurred. It was caused by the engine cutting out above Mascot Aerodrome.
The machine was badly damaged. It dropped into a muddy field.
