BEEF EXPORT EXPERIMENT.—A shipment of 600 quarters of chilled beef was sent from New Zealand to London on the Port Fairy in February last and i* here being examined by the High Commissioner on arrival at London Docks. This method of export was an experiment and the beef is reported to have arrived in good condition. Hitherto the monopoly of the trade in chilled beef to Great Britain has been enjoyed by the Argentine.
