CATHOLIC REPERTORY.
A large assemblage of playgoers attended the Town Hall Concert Cham- , bcr last evening, when the Auckland Catholic Repertory Society opend it's first production of the 1933 season with a play entitled "A Hundred Years Old." The stage was set with old mahogany furniture, and through deep maroon curtains displayed a garden scene. The frocks were. in modern Spanish style. Miss Kathleen Gilbert, as Currita, made her first entrance in a lettuce green organdie, with small frills, and swathed with a large roso pink shawL The third act frock was of briar rose glace eilk, trimmed with small black lace frills, a black shawl, embroidered in roses, and I worn with a rose in her hair. Miss Edna 'Craig, in the first act, as Dona Marciala, wore royal blue and black flat crepe, with hanging sleeves and black shawl. Her second dress was a bois du rose marocain, with a frilled basque, and in the third entrance was made in a heavily jet-beaded evening frock, draped with a gold and black shawL A mantua, with high comb, was worn for the headdress. Miss Flora Shnkin, as Dona Filomena, wore black • platu crepe, appliqued With sprays of flowers, and a bolero scarf of shaded silk. Her third dress was of lacquer red lace, with double flounces of net, and a draped ivory shawl. Miss Marie Drysdale, as Eulalia, was in a | flamingo red organdie, with, godets of 1 lace inset, and black shawl. The second entrance was in a Burgundy flowered gown made on simple lines. Miss Rosser, as Carmen Campos, wore a cherry red taffeta silk, with fringed apricot shawl, and a turquoise blue satin, with flowered black shawl completed the- ensemble.
