NATIONAL DEFICITS.
IN FRANCE AND ITALY.
(Received 11.30 a.m.) PARIS, April 14. Sitting till five yesterday morning, the Chamber of Deputies passed the Budget, with a deficit of £46,500,000, as compared with tlie earlier deficit of £163,000,000. Provision, was made for a lottery, whereby it is hoped that exservicemen's organisations will benefit by £4,000,000, as a solace to their reduced pensions. The Italian Budget presented in the Chamber of Deputies forecasts a deficit of £46,000,000.
