MAKING GOOD TIME.
Italian Airmen's Arrival At
Calcutta
FORCED DOWN IN PERSIA,
(Received 10.30 a.m.)
CALCUTTA, April 14.
Captain Lconida Robbiano, the rich Italian "ace," who is attempting to fly to Australia in the record time of 7 days, reached Calcutta at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. He will resume his trip to-morrow.
Considerable anxiety was felt on his failure to report after leaving Aleppo on Sunday, but this is now explained by the ract that he made a forced landing near Hinduan, Persia, owing to shortage of petrol. His machine was not damaged.
