DAFFODILS.
In a price list of narcissi one is struck with the many high priced bulbs; and to the novice it would appear that growing daffodils is the hobby for the man with the large purse. Certainly, if one is to make a collection of_ new varieties, it is so, but there are plenty of good varieties that are cheap and are practically at a price , within - the means of the many. As showing the value in which many of the old and cheap varieties of daffodils are still held in spite of the large 'influx of new specimens, the following list of the best twenty-five varieties for ■ the garden will be useful: — Barrl- Conspicuous .
