REVUE AT HIS MAJESTY'S.
This evening at His Majesty's Theatre the initial production will be Riven of Frank Neil's return season of the George Wallace-Ella Shields Revue Company, which was seen here in the five weeks following Christmas. The first of the three shows to be staged will be "The Laugh Parade," which is reported to be a well-arranged pot-pourri of the best of the new turns discovered while on tour through the rest of the Dominion, incorporating also several brand new events and spectacles. Among the novelties' will be Jack Spooner's Savoy Jazz Band, and the five "Cleveres," who were brought back from Australia by Mr. Neil on his recent trip to Sydney. The four "Diabolos" will be seen in their farewell appearance, while the Maurice Diamond beauty ballet will be presented in several new formations and scenes. Miss Ella Shields has a new budget of song numt>ers, while George Wallace will once more entertain with his droll and peculiar humour. The supporting artists in the company will include Miriam Lester (soprano), Maida Jones, Maggie Buckley, Lily Molloy, Billy Maloney, Maurice Barling and Fred Webber. The last named is the only newcomer to Auckland, all the_ others having been here on the recent visit. A further addition will be the tap dancers, Murray and Walton. In all, the programme should be well up to the standard set at Christmas time and after.
