GARRICK SOCIETY.

Excellent entertainment was supplied by the Garrick Dramatic Society last evening, when they presented Ibsen's play, "A Doll's House," at the Lewis Eady Hall. The stage was set with Sheraton furniture, old brocaded coverings and great care was shown in the dressing of the characters in the modes of the 'eightieSj the hats bearing a strong resemblance to the present-day fashion. Miss Joan Airey, as Nora, makes her entrance in a sapphire blue silk velvet piped with white, and deep ermine cuffs, collar and revers. The shallow-crowned velvet hat was bordered with the fur. The second act dress of feather grey silk lustre brocade was made in princess fashion, small frills of coloured ribbon decorating the hem of the full skirt. In shades ot cherry velvet and lame, the drapings formed a bustle back, an<t an old-fashioned Berthe of glistening lace was held with velvet rosettes for the bodice. An Italian costume of shaded petunia with white satin apron panel, bands of .lilac velvet, irridescent embroideries, and scarf headdress completed the picturesque final costume. Miss Antonia Martinengo, as Mrs. Linden, wore a-glace silk in sbado of Burgundy. The skirt had* two deep accor-dion-pleated frills, the long cloth coat being bordered with velvet and fastened with military cords. A quaint silk bonnet completed a beautiful ensemble. Her second frock of cyclamen pink was made with a draped apron which was carried to the back to form a full draped bustle. The bodice was dainty with its wide Honiton lace fichu and cameo-brooch fastening. Miss Rhona Speed, as Anna, makes her first entrance in a black frock, cape trimmed with astrachan, and small bonnet. The second gown was of •black and gold lame, trimmed with wide ruchings of--glace silk and a small lace cap. Miss Kathleen Barton, as the maid, looked bright in a well-cut black frock, pert white . muslin cap and apron. Among -the audience present were: Mesdames BKissen, R. C. Airey, E. Kissen, M.
