FLUCTUATIONS IN SHARES. LAST CALL BEFORE EASTER. WAIHIS' STRONG FINISH. With only a few hours in -which to complete business, bidding on the Auckland Stock Exchange call this morning was restricted to specially attractive lines. A feature of the proceedings was the strong finish made by Waihis, which changed hands in the room at £1 3/3, touching a new high level. After the transaction there were still buyers left at- £1 3/, but holders had withdrawn. Auckland. Gas also finished the period with a show of strength, and a sale at £12/ represents the highest point reached for gome time. Government stocks were in keen request, but holders asked par for the .4 per cent bonds and £98 15/ for inscribed stock, and buyers refused to go to this level. :■':':■:.■'.'.>:. v '.'. . .- The Exchange adjourned at noon ta-day until Monday, April 24.
