AUCKLAND GUN CLUB.
There was a good attendance at the Easter shoot of the Auckland Gun Club, held at Pakuranga yesterday. Shooters were present from Ruawai, Dargaville, Hamilton, Gordonton and Huntly, in addition to the local shooters. A five-bird match was divided by D. S. Ewing (27.vds), L. P. Ramsay (26yds), F. Keene (24yds) and P. E. McKcnzie (23yds) with the possible. The chief match of 10 birds for Mr. E. P Mitchelson's trophy, resulted in an outright win for C. Seddon (28yds), with the possible. L. P. Ramsay (27yds), W. E. Grant (24yds) and H. Gage (22yds) divided second and third money with nine each. The final five-bird match was divided by C. Seddon (29yds), P. E. McKenzie (22yds) and T. Gage (21yds) with the possible.
The club will compete for the Reid Cup at the Metropolitan Club's grounds on Saturday week, when teams from the Metropolitan, Takapuna, Huntly and Hamilton Clubs are expected to take part.
