NAVAJ. SQUADRON MEETING.

WELLINGTON, this day. The Naval Squadron rifle meeting will be held at Trentham next Tuesday and Wednesday, the competitors bein„ the .officers and men of ships In port, and from ' the Wellington division of theßoyal Volunteer Reserve. There will be 16 ser vice matches, which will be fired""A Bisley conditions. It is hoped to complete eight matches each day. It is expected cha 100 men will compete. retain In addition to the prize money Captain W. L. Jackson, D.5.0., R.N., has presented a challenge cup for the winner ot tha championship match. Mr. White ick- ' ham, of London, has presented a challenge cup for the winner of match 5, PettyOfficer Gardner, R.N.V.R., a spoon for the best total score In matches 13 and 14. ana Mr. C. W. Earle a medal to the holder ot the championship cup.
