PRIMO'S WOOING.

Endearing Letters of Giant

Boxer.

BREACH OF PROMISE ACTION.

LONDON, April 5,

"Emelia, my star, have patience for another year. All the girls frighten me except you. I am earning a lot of money and one day will be champion of the world."

So ran a letter which Primo Camera, the giant Italian boxer, wrote from New York to Emelia Tersini, the 20-year-old daughter of a Soho restaurant keeper. It was produced, together with other love letters full of endearments, during the action brought by Emelia for breach of promise. She was awarded £4200 damages against Camera, who did not defend the suit.

Another letter read: "My dearest Melia for life, write often; your letters give' me energy. Trust your Primo because he loves you with all his heart and all the strength of his soul."

Counsel said that Emelia Tersini followed Camera to Berlin and Paris. Camera finally declared that her standing and character were not compatible with his temperament.

Primo Camera, according to a message from Naples, says he would have defended the action, but he had lost money in unlucky speculations and cannot pay the damages. Ho declares that he does not feel guilty toward Emelia. If he said anything indiscreet, so did thousands of others without implying marriage. He had told her that he could not marry until his boxing career was over.

Mrs. Tersini says that she and Emelia are still fond of Camera, who apparently still loves Emelia. "I feel that they will come together again if people leave them alone," she-padded. "He is a dear boy and the soul of honour. Emelia would have cut herself to pieces for him. Must she wait until his boxing career is over 1"

Camera, detailing his ambition to win the world championship, declares that he intends to continue boxing for many years.
