Miss Jean Batten, the Auckland girl flyer who is attempting a solo trip to Australia, has arrived at Athens, where she was welcomed by enthusiastic crowds.

She experienced squalls approaching Athens, but nevertheless averaged 100 miles an hour. Miss Batten declared that her principal wants were a square meal and rest. She -will leave at 3 a.m. for Aleppo.
