International Suggestions to
World Conference.
SOLVING WORLD PROBLEMS,
(Received 11 a.m.) PARIS, April 10. On behalf of 47 countries, the Council of the International Chamber of Commerce has prepared a plan of 14 points for presentation to the World Economic Conference, with the hope of assisting to overcome the world crisis.
The chief suggestions are: Restoration of political police; the removal of the problem of political debts; creation of an international monetary standard; preliminary restoration of a free gold standard; Government action to deal with exchange instability; balanced Budgets; reduced tariffs; payment of debts in goods services; avoidance of inflation; agreements to overcome overproduction; all Governments to cooperate in the campaign to increase the prices of primary products.
