TAKANINI TRACKS.

GREEK GOLD GOES FAST,

At Takanini this morning the inside grass track, with the poles 12ft out, was used for fast work. The going was excellent, and some smart times were registered. _ , ~ , . Tatyoon and Holly Lu both worked well over seven furlongs, running the distance in 1.30. The stablemates Greek Gold, Exaggeration and Gold Pocket were in that order, with half length intervals between them, at the end of five furlongs in 1.2 1-5. Royal Artist, with Star Artist to assist him over the last five, ran seven furlongs in 1.29 4-5. The last five took 1.4. Cherry King and Foulwind were given an easy five furlongs, which took 1.4, the former finishing two lengths in front. Rereatu ran seven furlongs in 1.29 3-5, easing up slightly over the last furlong. Principal (W. Taylor),; Imperial Prince (L. Dulieu) and The6pis (J. Burgess) started off over six hurdles. Principal fell at the first, the other two completing their task safely, both giving good exhibitions. W. Taylor, rider of Principal, received abrasions to the face and shock. Kawini (F. Hall) gave a first-class display over six hurdles. -
