Although handicapped by heavy rain, tha winners in all four classes in the Australian Tourist Trophy race, held on January 30, recorded fast times. Twenty-two started' in the senior event, 21 in the junior, seven in the lightweight and 19 in the side car race. Results were:— Senior.—R. East (4.00 Rudge), 1; L. S. Potts (4.00 Norton), 2; D. Brewster (4.98 Excelsior), 3. Winner's average, 70 miles per hour. Junior.—H. Norton (3.48 Norton), 1; li. Sidney (Velocette), 2; R. Neil (Velocette), 3. Winner's average, 68 miles per hour. . . Lightweight.—l>. Thomas (2.46 New Imperial), 1; R. A. R. Hocking (2.48 A.J.S.), 2; B. Jones (A.J.S.), 3. Winner's average, 58 miles per hour. Side Car Race.—L. F. Pratt (403 Sunbeam), 1; A. E. Hlggs (750 Super X). 2; B. Jones (908 Coventry Eagle), 3. Winner's average, 48.17 miles per hour.
