PROVINCIAL NEWS.

WAIUKU. The City Football Club held an enjoyable dance* in the public hall. Extras were supplied by-Mr. R. Colhoun. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss T. Deed and Mr. McCall. The Aka Aka tennis dance, held in the public hall, was also very successful.

WAIMAUKU. Members of the Loyal Waimauku Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F., held a successful dance in the local hall on Saturday evening. Miss Tlielma Lawson, of Auckland, and Mr. Geo. Braithwaite won the prizes for a Monte Carlo. Extras were played by Mrs. Prestige (Taranaki) and Miss Iris Hutchings.

A dance was held in the Woodhill hall 011 Saturday evening in aid of the Helensville Catholic Church. Mrs. D. Lyons was the organiser. Visitors were present from Waimauku, Makarau and Helensville, and a local orchestra provided the dance music. A waltzing competition was won by Mrs. and Mr. D. Bradley (Helensville).
