BOGUS CALLS.
CHRISTCHURCH ANNOYANCE. MISUSE OF TELEPHONES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Bogus telephone calls to doctors, ambulance, taxi men and others have caused a great deal of annoyance and loss recently. In one case the sudden shock of a ring in the middle of the night made a sick woman's condition critical. " Complaints of- senseless practical joking have come from all quarters of the town. The St. John Ambulance was called to Birdwood Avenue to discover that there was no one in need of assistance. Several doctors have been sent on needless journeys to suburbs.
