DEMPSEY AS A PROMOTER. (Received 11.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 7. Jack Dempsey won another round in his promotorial war with Madison Square Garden, as the New York State Athletic Commission has granted him a new date, June 8, for the Schnieling v. Max Baer bout in one of the ball parks, and has deferred action on the Madison Square Garden management's request for June 15 as the date for the SharkeyCarnera title bout. The Schmeling-Baer fight previously had been approved for June 1.
