BEDSOCKS.
Hand-knitted bodsocks are often slotted round the ankles and tied with ribbon threaded through the slots. The drawback to these ribbons is their tendency to come undone in bed and let the socks slip off. It is a good plan to thread the ends of the ribbons inwards instead of outwards for tying. With the usual loose-fitting sock this is easily done. The bow is then safely inside the sock, and it will remain securely tied all night.
