FLUCTUATIONS IN SHARES. A QUIET MORNING. At a quiet call this morning the demand for Government stocks and insurances was the outstanding feature. In public issues offers of £99 for 4 per cents and £97 for 3%'s failed to produce sellers. In insurances buyers of New Zealands raised their limits to £2 8/9 without attracting holders. Following the announcement that no interim dividend on ordinary shares would be paid, Guarantee Corporation scrip eased, -with sellers at 5/ and no buyers.
