DUNEDIN MAYORALTY.
COMMUNIST CANDIDATE. *
TRIANGULAR CONTEST. (By Telejrraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, this day. Dunedin is to have a Communist candidate for its Mayoralty. Great interest is being taken in the election. Mr. R. S. Black, who has had two -• terms, is asking for another two years of office, and is again likely to secure the unemployed vote. He is opposed by Mr. F. W. Mitchell, chairman of the finance committee, who is well known in business circles, and is sure to secure a very solid "silent" vote. The Communist party is putting up a candidate, who is likely to take some of the unemployed votes from Mr. Black. The contest promises to be the .keenest fought in Dunedin for some years. Both Mr. Black and Mr. Mitchell have already opened their campaign.
