A fine programme of events has been arranged for the athletic ond cycling carnival to be held ot the Weßtern Springß Stadium next Saturday afternoon in aid of relief distress In Grey Lynn. Several attempts will bo made on New Zealand records: N. F. Cooper .will attempt Randolph Rose's six-year-old record of 9.20 1-5 for the two miles, both JI. R. Dwijjht and Les. Dwight will attempt R. G. Foubister s one-mile unpaeed cycle record, while M. P. ■Byrnes will attempt to create a New Zealand one-mile tandem record, his partner having not yet been announced.
