ROTORUA, Wednesday,
A sitting of the Central Transport Licensing Authority was held in Rotorua to-day, Colonel S. S. Allen presiding, with Mr. E. Johnstone. The chairman explained that in granting renewal of licenses there would be certain conditions: (1) The only rebates on fares allowed would bo the 10 per cent to booking agents; (2) tickets must be issued to all passengers and a way bill carried on each car; (3) the only concessions would be in connection with children; those under three years of age could be carried free, and those under 12 at half price. A license was issued to Gillies Motors, Limited, between Taupo and National Park.
Robertson's service between Rotorua and Waitomo, running when passengers were actually booked, wae granted a license.
Much evidence was heard on the application for renewal of the Rotorua-Whakatane-Gisborne services by J. O. Musgrave, Aard and Rotorua Motor Transport companies, and decision, was reserved.
