LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
DEVONPORT UNITED CLUB. There were 80 members at the annual meeting of the Devonport Club, Mr. J. A. Ferguson presiding." The report congratulated the senior team in winning the championship and becoming holders of the Fox Memorial Shield, and being runners-up In the Roope Rooster competition. L. Scott, A. Laing, and R. W. Smith obtained International honours. The schoolboys were very successful, and won tho Klely Cup for best average amongst the club juniors. Mr. Kiely's gold medal for most individual points scored iu the seniors was won by R. W. Smith. The patron's trophies for goal-kicking between Northcote and Devonport school teams were won by Partridge (N.) and Miller (D.). Mr. Johnson's medals for most improved seventh grade and schoolboys were won by Thomas and B. Sullivan. Officers were elected as follows: —Patron, Mr. W. D. Meiklejohn; vice-patron, Mr. Kiely; president, Mr. Ferguson; vice-presi-dents (with power to add), Messrs. N. Talby, J. Morris, C. Kelly, N. Cosgrove, J. Stevens, E. Jones, and C. McSweeney; club captain, F. Bolger; hon. secretary, Mr. A. Saxon; treasurer, Mr. M. Coghlan; auditor, Mr. J. Ford; committee, Messrs. H. Gerrard <chairman), A. McKubrey, J. Mann, C. Rhodes, J. Harper, with power to add. New members reported were L. Barchard, V. Conte, and L. Andrews.
