| FORTHCOMING- CARNIVALS. N.S.W. TEAM'S PINAL FLUTTER. The final appearance of the New South Wales swimmers will be made at the Tepid Baths on Thursday, April 6. The supporting programme comprises:— 33 1-3 Yards. —Girls' handicap. | 50 Yards.—Auckland ladies' championship ; Mt. Eden Club championship; ladies', open and boys' handicaps. 100 Yards Backstroke, and Mount Eden junior boys' handicaps. 200 Yards Open Handicap. Relays.—l 33 1-3 yards medley invitation scratch race; 233 1-3 yards life-saving (seven men teams, full dress) ; 333 1-3 yards inter-club (five aside). There will also be a novelty event by the Australians, who left to-day to spend the week-end at Rotorua. Entries close at the Tepid Baths at 5 p.m. on Monday. The University Swimming Club's championship meeting takes place at the Tepid Baths on Tuesday night, April 4. The preliminary heats have already been raced. Results:— 100 Yards. —First heat: C. J. Matheson 1, W. Gunn 2, A. Davis 3. Time, 64 4-sc. Second heat: H. Wiklriwht 1. T. V. Fitzpatrick 2, S. L. Lazarus 3. -Time, 60 3-ss. 440 Yards. —W. Gunn 1, J. E. Allen 2, H. Wikiriwhl 3. Won by one length of the bath. Time, 6.7 3-5. The North Shore Club Is making application to hold Its final carnival of the season on Tuesday, April 11. N.S.W. V. AUCKLAND. * Nominations close on Monday afternoon at the Tepid Baths for the supporting events at the fourth N.S.W. v. Auckland swimming carnival on Thursday, April 6, on the eve of the visitor's departure, for Sydney.
