NORTHCOTE REVALUATION.
Nortlioote property owners to-day received the new assessments made by tiii- Government Valuation Department. Tiese indicate an all-round easing off ; :i values to the crating assessments, which represented a total ratable capital Vii'.re of £003.379, the unimproved value beinj; £-253,048. The revised- valuation mills open for public inspection and objection* to assessments can be lodged up to April 13. Subject to any alterations made by the Assessment Court as the outcome of objections,- the new valuation become* operative from to-day. The rates for the ensuing year will be struck on the unimproved value as appearing in the revised roll. Ten years have elapsed since the last Government general valuation of the borough.
