TOM HEENEY BEATEN AT JERSEY.
NEW. YORK, March 2S. The New Zealand boxer Tom Heeney failed to last 10 rounds in a hout with Stanley Poreda, of Jersey City. He struggled through nine rounds and one minute 24 seconds of the tenth before the referee led him to his corner. The New Zeainncior did well in ihe first two rounds, but it was Poreda's fight after that and he was awarded a technical knock-out. One of Heeney's ears was cut severely in the second round.
