SPORTS ASSOCIATION.
FRANKLIN SECONDARY SCHOOLS. A body, to be known as the Franklin Secondary Schools' Sports Association, has been formed, the object of which is to foster all branches of school sport, to create a spirit of friendship and friendly rivalry founded on mutual trust and inspect among the post-primary schools ot the Franklin district, and to encourage clean living and clean sportsmanship. The president is Mr. R. C. Clark M.A. (Wesley College); secretary, Mr. W. C. Morris" (St. Stephen's School); executive, the president and Mr. P. Gallagher (Pukekohe Technical High School), Mr. J. V. Burton (Wesley College), and Mr. P. Smyth (St. Stephen's School). This committee, increased by co-opted members from the associated school staffs, will arrange details in connection with the various sports activities of the students. The association has fixed April 29 as the date of its first athletic sports meeting. The following branches of sport will be catered for: Football, cricket, tennis, swimming, athletics, and shooting, but other games may be introduced if competitions can be arranged. Record entries (over 1200) have been received for the Franklin primary schools | annual sports, which are to be staged at Pukekohe on April 7. The schools which are to compete are Pukekohe, Tuakau, Bombay. Patumahoe. Puni, Mauku, Buckland, Harrisville, Waiau Pa, Pukekohe East, Paerata, and Paparata. J
