WOMAN FOUND DROWNED.
ON MANUKAU FORESHORE. i A verdict that Bertha May Workman, aged 52, unmarried, of Remuera Road, met her death by drowning was returned by Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., coroner, at the inquest held this morning at Onehunga. Evidence of the finding of the body on the Manukau foreshore near the Waikaraka Cemetery yesterday was given by VV. Wilson. Margaret Workman said she last saw her sister about 1.50 p.m. on Wednesday in a tram going towards Newmarket. She did not see her sister that night, and assumed that she was staying With friends. She had not been in good health for some time, but had never given witness the impression that she would commit suicide.
