SOLDIER SETTLERS.
RELIEF FROM MORTGAGES. (By Telegraph. —Own Correspondent.) THAMES, Thursday. A deputation of ex-soldiers who are settlers at Orongo placed their grievances before the executive of the Thames Returned Soldiers' Association last night and sought assistance in connection with an appeal for relief from mortgagee. The executive agreed to obtain further information, also to take the matter up with the Minister and enlist the support of Mr. A. M. Samuel, M.P.
