RACE TO ISLINGTON BAT.

The Point Chevalier Sailing Club will hold a race to-morrow afternoon to Islington Bay, starting off the clubhouse. Ihe handicaps will be given at the start, the limit boat starting at 4 p.m. The course is from off clubhouse, round Reef beacon on starboard, thence direct to Islington Bay, keeping channel side of Bean Rock, finishing between Lock's wharf and Dolphin in bav. Post entries will be received at the clubhouse. This club's open regatta takes place on the 19th irist. NORTHCOTE REGATTA. MOVE FOR OPEN RACING. For the past two years the Northcote and Birkenhead regatta has been confined to local boats. Many residents have expressed the opinion that future regattas should be open to allcomers, us in the earlier fixtures. To allow rcHideiits an opportunity of expressing their views on this matter the committee has decided to call a meeting a week or two prior to tne arranging of dales for next season, when the question of allowing outside boats•to compete will be decided. The prizes won at the last regatta will be presented on June 1 in the King's- Theatre, Northcote, by Captain H. H. Sergeant. - TREVIC SHIELD. INTER-CLUB CONTEST FOR Z CLASS. The second annual inter-club contest for the Trevic Shield, presented by Mr. W. A. Johnston for the Z class, takes place on Saturday week in conjunction with the Altiirnna Club's rcgntta. The boats nominated are :—Trevic. Akarana Club; Kitty, Richmond Club: Me Too, Tukapiiua Club ; Tauiaki, Tamaki Club. RICHMOND MIDGETS. SMALL CLASS RACE OFF PONSONBY. The midget class of the Richmond Cruising Club will race to-morrow afternoon over the usual course, starting and finishin" off the Tonsonby wharf. The entrios are :_-Champ, Nipen, Comet, Whoopee, Sea Pearl Canoe, Heather, Uhlar, Nancy, Blue Bell Cutty Sark and Hiker. Mr. Ivo. Dennes will again attend to the boys, who are becoming quite expert in handling the-r small craft. Already one skipper has decided to po in for a bigger boat nnd has purchased the T class Pbaola from R. Brown.
