NORTHCOTE LEAGUE.
The president, Mrs. F. W. Wilkes, occupied the chair at the annual meeting of the Northcote Women's Progressive League yesterday afternoon. The syllabus for 1933 was arranged, and the opening social afternoon is to be held on Thursday, April 6, and monthly o-atherings thereafter. Mesdames D. P. O'Leary, A. Taylor, F. .W. Wilkes, and A. Campbell were deputed to act in conjunction with the local returned soldiers in arrangements for a service at the Northcote war memorial on the morning of Anzac Day. The officers for the ensuing year are: Patroness, Mrs. D. P. O'Leary; president, Mrs. Archie Campbell; vice-preeidents, Mrs. F. W. Wilkes and Miss Ellen Gillibrand; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. A. Taylor; committee, Mesdames Fred Maxwell, M. Rowles, A. J. Grant, F. C. Swinbank, F. Kendall; delegates to National Council of Women, Mesdames J. Horan and F. Townshend. Mention was made of the good work of the president, Mrs. F. W. Wilkes, the secretary, Mrs. A. Taylor, and the National Council delegate, Mrs. P. Howden,
