SEETHING UNREST.
CRISIS IN RUMANIA.
Queen Mother Said to Advise Carol's Abdication. TROOPS PATROL STREETS. (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON", February 19. The Vienna correspondent of the "Daily Mail" reports that soldiers, in groups of five, at intervals of 100 yards, are patrolling the main streets in Bucharest, capital of Eumania. The whole country, he says, is seething with discontent. The death-roll in the railway workshops' fight, when troops clashed with strikers, now totals 30. The workshops are garrisoned with troops. King Carol's mother, Queen Marie, is reported to have advised him to abdicate in favour of his son, Prince Michael. The King has refused to do so, however. He declares that he has complete faith in the army. Dispatches from Bucharest state that many workers' homes were searched and several arrests made. The Government is preparing a bill to provide for the militarisation of the entire railway system.
