CLOTHING ON BEACH.
WELLINGTON MAN MISSING.
ON VISIT TO CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The clothing of a man which was. found on the beach at New Brighton last week has been definitely identified as belonging to Hector George Thirkell, manager of the Richmond Butter Company, Dixon Street, Wellington, who came to Cliristchurch on business on Tuesday. No trace has been found of Mr. Thirkell, who is a married man. From the position of the clothes and the fact that there was with them a new towel it is thought that the missing man must have gone swimming and got into difficulties. He is said to be a strong swimmer. ======= I
