KILLED ON RAILWAY.
MAN ALIGHTING FROM TRAIN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) STRATFORD, this day. Losing his footing in alighting from a slowly-moving train at Kiore on Saturday night, a farm hand, Timothy Toomey, aged 47, single, was killed. His mother lives near Wellington. No one saw the accident, but it is presumed that Mr. Toomey stepped off the train facing the -wrong way, and fell inwards across the rails.
