RECORD TIME AT RICCARTON. SHATTER'S MID-SUMMER. CRAVEN PLATE TO ASSEMBLE. CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. The summer meeting of the Canterbury Jockey Club wae held to-day in fine weather with a hot north-west wind blowing. The win and place totalieators were in use and the public showed keen interest in the new system of betting. The win machine handled £4704 10/ and the place machine £8460 10/, a total of £13,165.
