WORK OF CONFERENCE. STATIONING COMMITTEE. The Methodist Conference yesterday dealt with business of the connection, the Rev. A. J. Seamer presiding most of the day, and when ho. was called away on urgent business the vicepresident, Mr. S. T. S. Martin, took the chair. The following were elected lay representatives of the Stationing Committee: Auckland district, Messrs. F. Penn and W. S. Mackay; South Auckland, Messrs. J. C. Tietjens and J. T. Johnson; Taranaki-Wanganui, Messrs. C. E. Bellringer and T. P: Hughson; Hawke's Bay-Manawatu, Messrs. H. R. French and A. E Fisher; Wellington, Meesrs. S. T. S. Martin and E. J. Lynneberg; Nelson, Miss Ei Avery and Mr. C. S. Cresswell; North Canterbury, Messrs. J. Voss and A. Williame; South Canterbury, • Messrs. A. G. Foster' and O. A. Wyliej Otago-Southland, .' Messrs. G. The examination committee reported on the work of the students and aleo recommended that the Revs. L. C. Horwood, A. T. Kent,, and W.' Parker be received . into the ■ ministry. Their ordination is to ta'ke place on Monday evening. The following young men were received as students: Messrs. J. S. Willoughby, G. Beckingsale, L. K. Hopper, P. C. Johansen, B. McD. Tasker, J. L. Mitchell, and A.'E. Waite. The president, in receiving ~them, said he hoped that they would regard this ae a time of great 'opportunity.-

During the evening Dγ, .C. H. Laws presided, and the orphanage report was taken. It showed that despite the financial stress an excellent wdrk has been carried on.
