CARINTHIA IN PORT. REMTJERA FOR LONDON. Arrivals at Auckland to-day included the passenger steamers Marama and Carinthia, Which berthed at the Prince's wharf and the Que2n's wharf respectively. The Marama, which lias been on an excursion trip to Northern ports, is to sail for Sydney this afternoon, while the Carinthia is to sail on Monday for Wellington, in continuation of her world cruise. On a round-the-world tourist cruise, the Cunard steamer Carinthia arrived at Auckland from New York this morning and berthed at the Queen's wharf. She is to sail at 7 p.m. on Monday for Wellington, whence she is to go to Australia. MESS TABLE GOSSIP. At the recent Marine Department examinations held at Auckland the undermentioned students of the Richmond Nautical School were successful in obtaining passes:—Mr. R. D. Matheson, Home trade master; Mr. J. P. Kelleway, yachtmaster; Mr B. H. Young, second mate foreign going; Mr. J. V. Broadhouse, oral section and square rig endorsement.
