BLACKSMITH IN DOCK.
FIVE SERIOUS CHARGES
Five charges of indecent assault in respect of three boys were brought against Norman Bergman, aged 31, a blacksmith, before Mr. Justice Smith and a jury in the Supreme Court this morning. Mr. V. N. Hubble, assistant Crown Prosecutor, conducted the case for the Crown. Accused, who appeared on crutches, was represented by Mr. W. A. Noble, and pleaded not guilty. It was alleged that the offences took place in a suburban park last November. / (Proceeding.)
