TWO CANTERBURY MEN FINED (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. For taking bets at the Addington trots on Saturday, Thomas Henry Owens (35), motor driver, was to-day fined £40. Arthur Reginald Walker (37), engineer, wag fined £50. Tlie police said that for some time the had been known as bookmakers in a" small way.
