WOMEN'S INSTITUTES.
TE ATATU. The first general meeting of the year took the form of a garden party at the residence of the president, Mrs. Moor who presided over an attendance of 24 enrolled. A bring-and-buy stall, in aid of institute funds, was well patronised. Work for the Hospital Auxiliary was collected and distributed. Tea was handed round on the lawns, the hostesses being Mesdames Moor, Blennerhassett, and Illingwortli. KAIPAKI. The members of the Kaipaki Women's Institute held a dance in the hall on Thursday. The Monte Carlo was won by Miss G. Dais ley and Mr. Kelly. Otliens present were: Mesdames J Graham, J. S. Fisher, A. Goodwin, A Cowley, J. Boyd, A. E. McDonald, E. McEldowney, W. Kivell, W. Three women lawyers, with officcs in Madrid, Spain, are being deluged with hundreds of requests from women who want divorces under the new constitutional provision which legalises the severing of marital bonds in Spain for the first time.
